"Startups" are capital bound. And not just money capital Prior to 2013 most but not all I worked with were. The very term is kind of an excuse isn't it? I've seen web ventures become serious biz quickly, not really remaining startups long.
Jobbing is less problematic, generally. Normally give fixed cost execution on a job that is not more than 90 days in duration.
